La Coron a El Nido es un viaje en barco de cuatro días y tres noches que recorre todo el norte de Palawan, desde Coron hasta El Nido. En lugar de apresurarte en la travesía, vas de isla en isla sin prisas, buceando en los arrecifes, navegando en kayak por bahías tranquilas y durmiendo en playas recónditas. El chef prepara cada comida con ingredientes frescos para disfrutarla en el campamento o en el mar. ¿Cómo es la expedición de Coron a El Nido?
Imagina una mezcla de viajeros y una tripulación apasionada que se embarcan juntos para llegar a islas que nunca verías en las excursiones de un día que salen de Coron o El Nido. Tú decides cómo pasar los días: practica snorkel, kayak, paddle surf o voleibol de playa si quieres mantenerte activo, o lee y da un paseo si prefieres tomártelo con calma. Cada tarde, el barco atraca en una tranquila isla al atardecer, y la cena se convierte en un momento para compartir historias bajo las estrellas antes de instalarte en un campamento en la playa para pasar la noche.
¿Cómo es cada día del viaje?
No hay dos salidas que sigan exactamente el mismo recorrido. Las paradas varían en función del tiempo, el estado del mar y el grupo, lo cual constituye la mitad del atractivo. Sin embargo, la estructura de los cuatro días se mantiene constante. A continuación se muestra un ejemplo del itinerario:
Día 1 — Salida desde Coron. La cita es en Coron a las 9:00 de la mañana y se hace mar a las 10:00 aproximadamente, empezando con calma con una primera sesión de snorkel, un baño en una playa recóndita y un almuerzo preparado a bordo, antes de acampar en la primera isla al atardecer.
Día 2 — Adentrándonos en las islas. A continuación, un día completo de paradas en lugares recónditos: arrecifes para hacer snorkel, salidas en kayak y tabla de paddle surf, bancos de arena y voleibol de playa, para terminar la jornada en otra isla tranquila donde pasar la noche.
Día 3 — Pueblos y mar abierto. A medida que la ruta se desvía hacia El Nido,, podrás hacer una parada en pequeñas comunidades pesqueras, hacer un poco más de snorkel y degustar la pesca fresca del día, para luego poner el broche final a la última noche con una hoguera y un poco de karaoke.
Día 4 — Hacia El Nido. Una o dos paradas finales por la mañana te llevarán al puerto de San Fernando Roro, donde un jeepney incluido te llevará el último tramo hasta El Nido,, donde llegarás sobre las 16:00.

The Boat
We use the highest quality boats in Palawan, and each one has room to spread out, with a toilet on board, cushioned seating, beanbags, side nets and an open upper deck for sunbathing between stops.
We keep numbers sensible too, around 6 to 24 guests depending on the boat and season, so you'll never find thirty people crammed onto a boat built for fifteen.
Whatever the water tempts you into, the snorkelling gear, kayaks and paddleboards live aboard, well maintained and free to use whenever you like, with no broken equipment and no extra charges.

Accommodation
You sleep on the islands themselves, moving to a different beach camp each night. The camps are bamboo cottages or glamping set right on the sand, modest but well kept, with proper six inch deluxe mattresses rather than the thin foam sheets found on cheaper trips, plus mosquito nets and fans.
We don't pack multiple guests into a single hut, and every camp has its own security.
Power runs off a generator until around 3:00 AM, and there are freshwater showers and manual-flush toilets on site. With limited electricity and no air conditioning, it's a rustic setup, which, for most guests, is exactly the point.

What's included in the price?
Almost everything for the four days is covered, so there's no reach for your wallet once you're aboard, and there's always more than enough to go around, so you're never fighting for the last plate or the last drink. You get three freshly cooked meals a day, plus local beer, rum, and cocktails. Also included are three nights of island beach-camp accommodation, all the masks, snorkels, fins, kayaks and paddleboards, the island entrance fees, and the jeepney transfer into El Nido at the finish. The only thing you'll settle on the ground is a small environmental fee, paid in cash on site.
How is this different from the Coron–El Nido ferry?
There are fast ferries that make the direct Coron–El Nido crossing in a few hours, so if all you need is to get between the two towns quickly, one of those is the answer. This trip is the opposite choice on purpose: instead of a point-to-point transfer, it turns the journey itself into a slow island-hopping tour, so you arrive in El Nido having actually explored the sea in between rather than skimming over it.
Where does the expedition sail?
The route threads through the islands and open water between Coron and El Nido, with largely uninhabited islands, coral reefs, sandbars, pale beaches, and the occasional fishing village. Since the day's conditions decide the best anchorages, we don't promise a fixed checklist; the crew picks what suits the weather and the group, which is why each trip lands somewhere a little different.
Is this a boat trip or a proper tour?
Both words fit: it's a guided island-hopping tour run as a multi-day boat trip, where instead of sleeping overnight on the boat you get to stay in native cottages on secluded islands.
How do you book, and what deposit is needed?

¿Qué debes llevarte?
Una bolsa estanca es lo único realmente imprescindible. Trae la tuya propia para los dispositivos electrónicos, la ropa y cualquier cosa que deba mantenerse seca, y guarda bien los objetos de valor, ya que ninguna bolsa estanca es totalmente impermeable. Además, no olvides llevar crema solar respetuosa con los arrecifes, un sombrero y gafas de sol, bañador, calzado acuático, artículos de aseo y repelente de insectos, así como pastillas para el mareo y cualquier medicación personal. A bordo hay un botiquín, pero es más seguro llevar el tuyo propio. Repartimos una toalla por huésped y, dado que las maletas grandes viajan bajo el barco y solo se sacan en caso de emergencia, lleva una pequeña mochila para lo que necesites, ya que a menudo se llega a los campamentos en kayak.
¿Podéis adaptaros a las necesidades dietéticas?
Sí. Las dietas veganas, vegetarianas, pescetarianas y de otro tipo son todas viables. Una vez realizada la reserva, te enviamos un breve formulario para que nos indiques con antelación exactamente lo que necesitas. Dado que los ingredientes proceden frescos de los mercados locales, la variedad es más limitada que en un restaurante, lo cual es de esperar. También puedes traer tus propios aperitivos si lo deseas.
¿Cuál es el mejor momento para zarpar desde Coron a El Nido?
La temporada se extiende, aproximadamente, desde octubre hasta julio. El periodo más seco y tranquilo se sitúa entre mediados de noviembre y abril, mientras que octubre y de mayo a julio son semanas de temporada intermedia más tranquilas, y de agosto a septiembre corresponden los meses de menor afluencia y más lluviosos. Sin embargo, el tiempo varía de un año a otro, así que tómalo solo como una guía.
Coron o El Nido — ¿necesitas los dos?
Ambas localidades merecen una visita, y este viaje es, en realidad, una forma de descubrir las islas que hay entre ellas, más que de decantarse por una u otra. Como terminas en El Nido,, estás en una posición ideal para continuar directamente hacia las lagunas de la bahía de Bacuit y pasar allí unos días más. ¿A quién va dirigido este viaje?
Es ideal para viajeros activos a los que no les importa pasar un poco de incomodidad: acampadas en la playa, servicios sencillos y jornadas completas en el agua. La edad mínima es de 12 años y el límite máximo es de 55, siempre que se goce de buena salud, por lo que este formato de grupo reducido es perfecto tanto para familias con hijos mayores como para parejas, grupos de amigos y viajeros solitarios.
