Big Dream Boatman Cancellation and Refund Policy

We know sometimes things don’t go to plan and unforeseen events can take place. Please find here a list of our terms and conditions in each of the following cases. Please note these terms and conditions are final.

1. Booking Confirmation and Deposit

A deposit of 40% of the total booking fee is required to confirm your reservation.

The remaining balance is due one week before the trip. A payment link will be sent via email after booking. We only accept payment through the official payment links provided after your successful booking.

2. Cancellation by the Guest

At least 30 days before the trip: The deposit is refundable, less a cancellation fee of $50 per person.

Within 30 days before the trip: The deposit is non-refundable. However, if the remaining balance has been paid, it will be refunded.

3. Cancellation by Big Dream Boatman/Philippines Coast Guard

If the trip is canceled by Big Dream Boatman or the Philippines Coast Guard (e.g., due to unsafe weather or unforeseen circumstances):

Entire trip cancellation: You will receive a full refund or the option to reschedule to the next available date at no additional cost.

First-day cancellation: 25% of the rate will be refunded. If you decide not to join on the second day, you will forfeit 75% of the payment made.

We highly recommend arriving in Coron or El Nido at least 1-2 days before the trip to account for potential travel disruptions. If your flights are canceled, the deposit remains non-refundable. The remaining balance, if paid, will be refunded.

4. No-Show Policy

If a guest fails to arrive or is not ready at the agreed meeting place and time, it will be considered a no-show, and no refunds will be issued.

If you are late by a couple of hours and still wish to join, we can assist in arranging a rental van and boat. Rates will depend on the distance required to drop you off. Please note that this option is not guaranteed and depends on weather conditions. This is not a service we provide ourselves but will try to help you find an option. All costs will be transferred to you directly. Make sure to contact our Reservation Team to get assistance on this.

5. Rescheduling by the Guest

Requests for rescheduling must be made at least 14 days before departure and will incur a $50 rebooking fee per booking.

Rescheduling is not permitted within 14 days of departure.

6. Refunds

Refunds will be processed within 30 days of the confirmed cancellation.

For trips canceled due to bad weather, refunds will be processed within 30 days of the scheduled trip date.

Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used during booking.

7. Travel Insurance

We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance that covers trip cancellations, interruptions, and unforeseen incidents, especially those caused by bad weather.
